We are now seeking substitute teachers for JENSEN komvux Fridhemsplan who can teach science subjects at the upper secondary level.

JENSEN adult education is for those who want to develop in their professional role and contribute to our students' success. As a teacher with us, you will have the opportunity, together with dedicated colleagues and present managers, to develop and apply the possibilities of adult education. You have great freedom to design your teaching in a way that challenges and develops your course participants.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Teach both in the classroom and online.
• As a teacher, take full responsibility for the instruction within your subject combination.
• Motivate and coach students to achieve good study results and positive knowledge development according to national guidelines.
• Adapt teaching to different levels of prior knowledge and customize the setup for individuals.
• Handle administration related to the course (e.g., grading, feedback, introduction, classroom tests).
• Actively contribute to the unit's development and work towards achieving the organization's goals.

We are looking for someone who:

• Lives in Stockholm.
• Is flexible with time and can step in at short notice.
• Is studying at a university or has a teaching degree.
• Has expertise in one of the following subjects: natural science, biology, chemistry, and physics, preferably in combination with a non-science subject.
• Has at least one year of teaching experience.
• Is administratively inclined and understands the overall context of administrative tasks within the teaching profession.
• Experience in teaching within adult education is an advantage.

You are accustomed to working with students at different levels, can adapt your communication, and have experience with varying study paces. As a person, you are engaged, inspiring, and coaching. You are creative, attentive, and responsible, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Employment Type

The position is a part-time employment with a start date to be agreed upon.
